Job summary

The New York Botanical Garden is seeking a Part-Time Gate Attendant to manage entry at walk-in gates, assist with parking operations, and help maintain security of vehicles in the Twin Lakes parking area. You will also provide a welcoming experience for visitors and support overall safety operations.

Position Summary

This position also provides a welcoming and positive experience for visitors while supporting the Garden's overall safety and security operations.

• Screens visitors as they enter the Garden.
• Monitors staff parking areas and helps maintain the security of parked vehicles.

• Utilizes a two-way radio to communicate with Security Management and other team members.

Physical Demand & Work Environment

This position requires extended periods of standing and sitting and involves working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

Work Schedule

• This is a part-time position with a baseline schedule of Fridays and Sundays from 10 AM to 6 PM.
• Candidates must also be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Rate

• $20 per hour
