You will assess symptoms via calls, portal messages, and referrals; prioritize needs; escalate for GI physicians; manage EMR in-basket workflows; support quality-improvement initiatives and mentor nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a State-approved school of nursing.
• 5+ years of experience in Gastroenterology.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• BLS and ACLS preferred.

Responsabilités

• Build therapeutic and supportive relationships with patients and families, providing education and managing care transitions.
• Assess patient symptoms and concerns via telephone, patient portal, secure chat, and referrals.
• Prioritize patient needs based on clinical urgency and established protocols.
• Escalate complex or urgent clinical issues to GI physicians or APCs.
• Review and respond to patient inquiries regarding GI conditions, medications, tests and treatment plans.
• Provide clinical guidance within nursing scope of practice.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and mentor nursing staff.
• Manage EMR in-basket workflows and address patient portal messages.
