Job summary

AbbVie in Lake County, IL is seeking a senior leader to head Gastro pipeline commercialization through Phase 1–3 and into affiliate transitions. You will drive strategy, shape long‑term plans with Immunology PCS leadership, and ensure consistent approaches across the portfolio.

You will lead cross‑functional teams with R&D, Regulatory, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Finance and International affiliates to optimize value and readiness for launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Pharma/biotech experience required.
• Track record of strategic leadership.
• 10+ years of experience in pharma marketing and/or medical affairs.
• Understanding of drug development, lifecycle management and commercialization.
• Strong planning, coordination and project-management skills.
• Excellent communication with executive audiences.
• Impeccable integrity and work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of the Immunology long-term Gastro plan with PCS leadership.
• Shape strategy for Gastro portfolio across Phase 1–3 and affiliate handoff.
• Provide strategic commercial perspectives for external BD opportunities.
• Build relationships with internal and external partners to strengthen value proposition.
• Lead cross-functional engagement with R&D, Regulatory, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Finance and Affiliates.
• Ensure end-to-end stewardship of Gastro strategy from development to launch.
