Job summary

AbbVie in Florham Park, NJ or Lake County, IL seeks a Director to build a neuroimmunology portfolio, shape commercial strategies, and lead forecasting for assets through development. You will partner across R&D, Medical Affairs, and commercial teams to progress assets from early concept to market readiness.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required; MBA or PhD preferred.
• 5–10 years of pharmaceutical marketing experience including on-market or pipeline product development is strongly preferred.
• Neuroscience / neuroimmunology experience strongly preferred.
• Superior verbal and written communication and storytelling skills with experience presenting to C-Suite and Executive Leadership Teams.
• Detailed understanding of the pharmaceutical product development process.
• Experience in creating product or indication development plans in partnership with R&D.
• Strong analytical and strategic marketing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead without authority.
• A successful track record of ascending responsibility.
• Executes highly effective working team meetings with internal and external partners and is visibly inclusive and transparent.
• Works collaboratively and proactively with planning, coordination & project management skills; demonstrates problem solving with diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Lead early commercialization functions including early brand plan, integrated value proposition, forecasting and value metrics, lifecycle planning, and global market assessments for each asset in the neuroimmunology pipeline portfolio
• Represent each asset in governance bodies and lead the BST in development of early commercialization deliverables for each asset
• Design and shape clinical and medical evidence generation plans in partnership with R&D and Medical Affairs
• Participate in cross-functional governance meetings through go-to Phase 2/3 milestones and late-stage development governance
• Partner with PCS Insights and APEX teams to develop and validate value propositions through HCP and patient engagement and research
• Lead discussions with key opinion leaders to garner insights in development and commercialization of assets
• Develop compelling presentations to convey strategies to senior executives and cross-functional leadership teams
• Work with Global Affiliates by leading Touch Points to gain insights for launch markets
• Collaborate with Search and Eval, BD and Commercial Assessment colleagues on complementary opportunity evaluations
• Evaluate opportunities for complementary indications for lead assets or competitive compounds in development
