Job summary

Avera Gastroenterology Sioux Falls is seeking a qualified physician to join our multidisciplinary team. You will provide direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and patient care within defined practice areas.

The role requires collaboration with care teams to promote quality outcomes and patient safety. The ideal candidate will hold an MD or DO, be licensed to practice in the state, and be board-eligible or board-certified.

Qualifications

• Must hold Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy degree and be licensed to practice in the practicing state.
• DEA license required at hire.
• Board certification or eligibility in family practice, internal medicine, or a relevant specialty per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients per approved protocols and standards.
• Provides medical services and health education to patients and families.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as required.
• Interprets diagnostic information and formulates care plans.
• Maintains patient records accurately.
• Promotes patient safety and adheres to environmental care standards.
• Collaborates with the care team to ensure quality patient care.
