Job summary

Avera Rheumatology Sioux Falls seeks a physician to provide direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and patient care within rheumatology. Join a multidisciplinary team focused on compassionate care and Moving Health Forward for patients and families.

Responsibilities include diagnosing, treating, and educating patients, performing procedures, maintaining records, and collaborating with the care team to ensure high-quality, safe care.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor license to practice in the state where services are provided.
• Doctor of Osteopathy license to practice in the state where services are provided and board eligible.
• DEA license required (DEA registration or eligibility) Upon Hire or
• Must uphold safety and compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, DHHS, OSHA as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients per approved protocol and standards.
• Provide medical services and health education to patients and families.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.
• Interpret diagnostic information and formulate care plans.
• Maintain patient records accurately and ensure care environment safety.
• Collaborate with care team and coordinate referrals as needed.

Education

Medical Doctor - Board of Medicine Licensed and qualified to practice medicine in the state that services are provided and board certified or board eligible

Doctor of Osteopathy - Board of Medicine Licensed and qualified to practice medicine in the state that services are provided and board certified or board eligible and board certified or board eligible

Federal Drug Enforcement Admin - US Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Admin State and federal DEA license based on state of practice
