BASS Medical Group in Danville, CA, seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our physician-led private practice. You will focus on clinical evaluation, pre/post-procedure visits, and patient education under Dr.

Salim Shelby, with 30-minute slots and no procedural duties. This is a full-time outpatient role with 15–20 patients per day, strong work-life balance, on-site clinic, lab, and surgery center support, plus mentorship and onboarding.

Formación

• Licensure: Active, unrestricted California license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (or eligibility to obtain).
• Gastroenterology experience preferred; Internal Medicine background acceptable for training under Dr. Shelby.

• Provide comprehensive adult gastroenterology care with focus on pre‑procedure consultations and post‑procedure reviews.

• Location: Outpatient clinic in Danville, CA.

Practice Overview:

• Broad Scope of Care: Provide comprehensive adult gastroenterology care. Focus primarily on handling pre-procedure consultations and post-procedure visits to review findings with patients, with the opportunity to expand your clinical scope over time.
• Clinical Duties: Focus strictly on clinical evaluation, relationship-building, and patient education. (No procedural skills are required, as the physician handles all endoscopies and colonoscopies).
• Quality Over Quantity: Manage a highly comfortable volume of 15 to 20 patients per day. Benefit from dedicated 30-minute appointment slots for all patients, ensuring you have the time to provide exceptional, unhurried care.

Compensation & Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this role starts at $180,000 in base pay and is exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location.

Qualifications:

• Licensure: Active, unrestricted California license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (or eligibility to obtain).
• Experience: Clinical practicing experience in Gastroenterology is highly preferred; however, candidates with a strong Internal Medicine background who are eager to learn and train directly under Dr. Shelby are highly encouraged to apply.
• Attributes: Strong bedside manner, a relationship-based approach to care, and HIPAA compliance.
