Job summary

Monterey Bay GI Consultants in Monterey Peninsula seeks a qualified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. The practice includes 12 physicians, 4 NPs and 1 PA across two offices and ASC locations in Monterey and Salinas.

Full-time, primarily office-based with a few weeks/year of hospital coverage. Competitive compensation with comprehensive benefits package including 401(k), health and dental insurance, and CME allowance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NP/PA program approved by the Board of California.
• Current and unrestricted license as NP/PA in California.
• Federal DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in a primarily office-based setting.
• Assist with hospital coverage a few weeks per year.
• Collaborate with a gastroenterology team consisting of 12 physicians, 4 NPs and 1 PA in Monterey and Salinas.

Job description

Monterey Bay GI Consultants, a premier gastroenterology specialty group on the Monterey Peninsula, is seeking to hire a qualified and enthusiastic Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.

Currently, our practice consists of 12 physicians, 4 NPs, and 1 PA, with 2 offices and ambulatory surgical centers in Monterey and Salinas. This position is for a full-time provider, primarily in the office setting, with a few weeks per year assisting with hospital coverage.

Applicants should have the following qualifications:

• A graduate of NP/PA program approved by the Board of California
• Current and unrestricted license as NP/PA in the state of California
• A Federal DEA controlled substance registration

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in an office / hospital setting
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, but not necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $160,000 - $180,000.00 per year (Depending on Experience)
