Job summary

NPACE is seeking a Gastroenterology Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a part-time to full-time role in New York. You will work with a dedicated gastroenterology team to deliver high-quality patient care in a collaborative setting.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate starting at $90/hour, with flexibility and room for increased pay based on experience. Active NY PA/NP license and at least one year of clinical GI experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Gastroenterology/related field experience preferred but not required.
• Strong patient-care and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and review medical histories.
• Diagnose and treat GI disorders (IBD, GERD, liver disease).
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans with patients.
• Prescribe medications and monitor effectiveness.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures including endoscopies.
• Educate patients on GI health and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with gastroenterologists and healthcare professionals to coordinate care.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic gastroenterology team. This part-time position offers competitive compensation with the potential for increased hourly pay based on experience. As a PA/NP in our practice, you will work closely with our gastroenterologists to provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Job Duties

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories, conducting physical examinations, and interpreting diagnostic tests related to gastrointestinal health


• Diagnose and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders and conditions, such as inflammatory bowel disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and liver disease


• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, focusing on symptom management, disease prevention, and health promotion


• Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal patient outcomes


• Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures and tests, including endoscopies and colonoscopies, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning


• Provide patient education on gastrointestinal health, including treatment plans, lifestyle changes, and medication management


• Collaborate with gastroenterologists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure comprehensive treatment
