Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Gastroenterology physician for locum tenens coverage in Woodland, CA. The role requires board-certified GI specialists with CA licensure and experience with Cerner EMR. Schedule includes Monday–Friday days with 24-hour call on weeknights and weekends.

The position supports both outpatient hospital procedures and inpatient hospital calls, with credentialing up to 90 days. AMN Healthcare handles travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance for contractors.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Gastroenterology.
• California medical license required.
• Locum tenens experience preferred.
• EMR: Cerner is used at the facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform gastroenterology procedures five days per week with evening and weekend call.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient GI coverage as needed.

Job Description & Requirements Gastroenterology Physician StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 24; On Call; 9 Pay Rate: $349.20 - $378.00 This facility is seeking Gastroenterology Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity: Schedule: Weekdays, Monday-Friday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm: Night call 5:00 pm - 7:00 am, Monday - Friday: 24 hour call - 7a-7a Saturday and Sunday.

Practice Setting: Outpatient Hospital department(procedures), Inpatient Hospital(Call)

Type of cases and required procedures: perform procedures 5 days per week and to take evening and weekend call.

Credentialing timeframe: Can take up to 90 days.

Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner

Certifications required: Board Certification

Licensure required: CA License Required

Facility Location Woodland is located approximately 15 miles northwest of Sacramento.

The area is very well irrigated and this drew people out to try their hand at farming. In fact The Gibson Mansion in Yolo County, now a historical museum, is the former home of William B. Gibson originally from Virginia who bought a lot of acreage and began to farm and raise livestock in 1857 on this huge property he had purchased.
