Job Requirements for Gastroenterologist

Must have an active Ohio medical license; IMLC licenses are not accepted.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist to provide on-call services for emergency department (ED) and inpatient (IP) needs.

Call Schedule

1. One week per month of call (7 consecutive days).
2. 24-hour call coverage to address any ED or IP needs that arise.
3. Provider will perform necessary procedures for patients requiring intervention.
4. While the provider may work solo, there are partners in the practice for collaboration.
5. Expected to take call and perform procedures independently.

Response and On-Site Expectations

Response time to calls is within 30 minutes; on-site response within 60 minutes if necessary. Call volume is not high.

Procedural Responsibilities

Ability to perform screening and diagnostic colonoscopy, EGD, and care for food bolus impaction is required. Note that ERCP and EUS are not performed at this site.
