GI Physician Opportunity

Join our team as a GI physician to collaborate with current general surgeons and help reestablish our GI service line. The incoming physician will be the primary provider for scopes within the community, taking over for a retiring physician in April 2025.

Located amidst scenic dogwoods, piney woods, rolling hills, and lakes, our 150-bed hospital serves the healthcare needs of Anderson County. Enjoy the charm of small-town living, less than an hour from Tyler, with easy access to Dallas and Houston.

Position Details

• Hospital-employed position
• Coverage at one hospital only
• No local GI competition
• Primarily adult and geriatric patient base
• No clinic call requirements
• Call schedule: 10 days/month, including 1 weekend
• Dedicated clinic and surgery days
• ERCP experience is a plus, but not required

Volume and Facilities

• 2024: 1500 scopes performed, with potential for growth
• Facilities include 5 ORs and 2 GI suites

Candidate Profile

• Enjoys practicing in a rural community

• J1 visa waiver available
