Job description

Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition is seeking a faculty gastroenterologist with interest in nutrition support, celiac disease, and capsule endoscopy at the main campus in Nashville, Tennessee.
Position Highlights:
  1. Vanderbilt's Gastroenterology Division comprises nearly 80 clinicians, clinician educators, physician-scientists, APPs, and investigators.
  2. This Clinician Educator track position offers a variety of clinical care including general gastroenterology, nutrition support, celiac disease, and capsule endoscopy. Willing to train the right candidate!
  3. Clinical time is evenly divided among clinic, procedures, and TPN rounds.
  4. Great work/life balance: general GI night call only one week per year, and TPN call from home only 4 weekends per year.
  5. The Center for Human Nutrition is the region's only intestinal failure program and hosts the only dedicated celiac disease clinic in the southeast. Our multidisciplinary team includes pharmacists, dieticians, case managers, and highly trained nursing staff.
  6. Opportunities to teach fellows, residents, and other learners with a faculty appointment at VUMC. Participate in research, QI projects, or protocol development during protected academic time.

Qualifications:

MD/DO with board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology, committed to Vanderbilt's values of innovation, collaboration, and quality. Certification in Nutrition Support (CNSC) or willingness to obtain within the first year.
