Job description

This regional Medical Center in Nashville, TN, is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Gastroenterologist to join their staff.

About the Position:

  • Join a practice with 1 Physician and 4 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients with gastrointestinal issues.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient history.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and biopsies.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging results to guide treatment decisions.
  • Manage chronic gastrointestinal conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and gastrointestinal cancers.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education on procedures and lifestyle modifications.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, surgeons, and dietitians, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and expected outcomes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions to enhance patient management.

Clinical Research and Education:

  • Engage in clinical research activities and contribute to advancements in gastroenterology.
  • Stay updated on the latest research, techniques, and advancements in the field.
  • Mentor and guide medical residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals.
