Qualifications

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology with fellowship training.
• Licensed in Indiana or IMLC with ACLS and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient GI services and consults, managing 25 patients per shift.
• Participate in a 1 in 5 call rotation with 24-hour on-call responsibilities.

Coverage Needed:

• September 1, 2025 - September 1, 2026
• Schedule: 7-day assignments (Thursday 5 PM to Thursday 5 PM), includes 24-hour on-call
• Coverage Type: Call Only, 20 weeks of GI inpatient service coverage, cover 2 out of 5 weeks per year

Clinical Details:

• Practice Setting: Inpatient
• Patients Per Shift: 25
• Rounding: Assigned Patients
• EMR System: Cerner
• Support Staff: 3 RNs, 4 MAs, 3 PAs/NPs, 11 Office Staff, 3 permanent full-time GI physicians
  • Resident or Teaching Supervision Required
• Call Type: Beeper, 60 minute call response time required
  • Average Call Number per 24 Hours: 4-8 Phone Consults, 25 patients seen, 25% call back
  • Looking to maintain a 1 week in 5 call rotation
• Inpatient procedures, inpatient consult/rounding

Requirements:
