Qualifications

• Must have performed at least 100 colonoscopies in the past 2 years.
• Experience with ERCP and advanced endoscopic procedures is required.

Shift Details: 7a-7p + night beeper call OR 24 hour beeper call TBD

Schedule: Need full-time coverage. Will consider physicians able to work a minimum of 7 consecutive days per month.

• Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: Full-time; minimum 7 consecutive days per month

Department Description: GI coverage for Level 1 hospital

EMR: EPIC

Hospital Bed Size: 434 beds

Special Procedures:

• ERCP required (150 in the past 2 years)
• Esophageal, Duodenal, or Luminal Stent Placement (20 in the past 2 years)
• Performance of history and physical exam
• Argon plasma coagulation
• Biopsy of the mucosa of the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, and colon
• Colonoscopy with or without polypectomy (must provide documentation of 100 performed in the past 2 years at initial appointment and 150 at reappointment)
• Diagnostic and therapeutic esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)
• Enteral alimentation
• Esophageal dilation with balloon, bougie, or savary with guidewire
• Foreign body removal or polypectomy during EGD
• Flexible sigmoidoscopy
• Gastrointestinal motility studies and 24-hour pH monitoring
• Nonvariceal hemostasis (upper and lower)
• Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy
