Gastroenterology Coverage Details

1. Coverage Needed: 1 week a month starting in May, ongoing
2. Shift Times: 7 am - 7 pm, plus call
3. Onsite Services: IR, 24/7 anesthesia, transfer center nearby
4. Staffing: No midlevels on staff
5. EMR: EPIC

Procedures Required

• ERCP
• Esophageal, duodenal, or luminal stent placement (20 in the past 2 years)
• History and physical exam
• Argon plasma coagulation
• Biopsy of esophagus, stomach, small bowel, and colon mucosa
• Colonoscopy with or without polypectomy (must provide documentation of 100 performed in the past 2 years at initial appointment and 150 at reappointment)
• Diagnostic and therapeutic EGD
• Enteral alimentation
• Esophageal dilation (balloon, bougie, or Savary with guidewire)
• Foreign body removal or polypectomy during EGD
• Flexible sigmoidoscopy
• Gastrointestinal motility studies and 24-hour pH monitoring
• Nonvariceal hemostasis (upper and lower)
• Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy
