Job Opportunity: Outpatient Gastroenterologist in Northwestern Maryland

Our prestigious clients in Northwestern Maryland are seeking a Gastroenterologist to cover outpatient services. The schedule includes three days of surgery and two days of clinic hours per week, offering a flexible and lucrative opportunity.

Highlights:

• Weekly pay with flexible scheduling
• Coverage hours: 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.
• Responsibilities include consults and procedures (no ERCP or EUS)
• Accepting IMLC
• EMR: Meditech

Work Schedule:

Outpatient clinic at ASC or same-day surgery center: M, W, F from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Clinic hours: T, Th from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Patient Volume & Responsibilities:

Average census includes 75% new patients and 25% follow-ups, with 10-15 patients seen per day in the clinic.

Provider will rotate between clinic and procedures, with a potentially higher volume of procedures.

Common Emergencies & Conditions:

Food impaction and GI bleed are most common.

Additional Details:

The provider will split time between MWF at the ASC or same-day surgery center and T, Th in the clinic, covering the respective hours.
