Advocate Health Care in Illinois is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (APRN-CNP) for a full-time outpatient role in Gastroenterology. This 40-hour-per-week position emphasizes 36 clinical contact hours in the office with flexible scheduling to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities include performing comprehensive histories and exams, ordering and interpreting labs and imaging, prescribing therapies, and developing care plans with the interdisciplinary team.

Competenze

• Masters of Nursing Degree as APRN-CNP.
• 2 years RN experience preferred.
• 1 year APRN-CNP experience in the relevant setting preferred.
• National certification as a CNP from an accredited body.
• Current Illinois APRN license.
• Current Illinois RN license.
• Current Illinois Controlled Substance License within 6 months of hire.
• Eligible for DEA registration; Possession of a current DEA Registration within six months of hire.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Current PALS/ACLS certification may vary based on practice site.

• Completes and documents accurate histories and physical assessments.
• Performs ordering, conducting, supervising, and interpreting diagnostic studies.
• Prescribes treatments and therapies, including medications and equipment.
• Implements prevention and management plans for acute and chronic problems.
• Maintains clear, accurate documentation in the medical record.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to form comprehensive care plans.
• Provides telephone care to patients and supports scheduling and workflows.
• Fulfills billing and productivity metrics as appropriate.
