Job summary

Private Company, LLP in California seeks a licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a gastroenterology practice on a full-time basis. You will work within a collaborative care team across multiple hospital affiliations, under physician supervision, delivering GI care.

Core schedule is 9:30 AM–6:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with potential evenings, weekends, and holiday coverage. The role offers a $125,000 yearly base salary, health and retirement benefits, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• NCCPA Certification – Must have passed PANCE and hold current NCCPA certification.
• California PA License – Must be licensed or able to practice as a PA in California.
• NPI Number – Must have an active NPI for billing and provider ID.
• DEA Registration – Active DEA registration in California required and maintained.
• Board Eligibility/Certification – Must maintain eligibility or certification.
• Hospital Privileges – Ability to obtain/maintain staff privileges at the listed hospitals.
• Payor Credentialing – Eligible for credentialing with managed care contracts; 75% coverage within 6 months.
• Spanish Fluent

Responsibilities

• Provide professional medical services within GI specialty scope.
• Provide patient care and related duties under physician supervision.
• Provide consults to requesting physicians.
• Maintain timely medical and billing records; review billings under your name.
• Supervise and review care rendered by non-PA staff.
• Participate in compliance programs, peer review, and education duties.
• Maintain active staff privileges at designated hospitals.
• Cooperate with billing/compliance requirements tied to payor contracts.
