Brookhaven Gastroenterology Associates, a leading gastroenterology practice on Long Island, NY, is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant with GI specialization to join our team. The role involves comprehensive patient assessments, diagnostic testing, treatment planning, and patient education in a collaborative setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree, NY PA licensure, and has strong clinical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher from an accredited PA program.
• Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York State.
• Experience as a Physician Assistant preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments of patients with gastrointestinal concerns.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as endoscopies and imaging studies.
• Diagnose and treat a variety of gastrointestinal conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and guidelines.
• Prescribe medications and other interventions as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Provide patient education on disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
