Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, Rhode Island is seeking a dedicated Gastroenterology Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our expanding GI practice. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to work alongside experienced gastroenterologists in both inpatient and outpatient settings, providing comprehensive digestive health care to a diverse patient population.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current or eligible Rhode Island PA licensure.
• NCCPA certification required.
• Previous Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, or related clinical experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and medical histories
• Evaluate and manage patients with gastrointestinal disorders
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
• Perform hospital consultations and follow-up care
• Review diagnostic studies, laboratory results, and imaging reports
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and preventive care
• Coordinate care with primary care providers and specialists
• Document encounters accurately within the electronic medical record system
