Infinite Medical P.C. seeks a friendly Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our nationwide network serving residents in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities.

You will provide comprehensive GI care, order tests, interpret results, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered outcomes. The position is based in Altamont, NY, offering full-time hours with a salary of $150,000–$200,000 per year and a robust benefits

Formación

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license.
• Master's Degree in Nursing and completion of an accredited NP program.
• DEA license and CPR/BLS certification required.
• Gastroenterology experience preferred in a long-term care setting.

Responsabilidades

• Provide comprehensive GI healthcare services and coordinate patient care for residents.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat GI-related conditions and manage chronic GI diseases.
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Document and review medical histories, orders, and test results within the EMR system.
• Support resident families with counseling and care planning in a person-centered approach.

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team. As a Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive healthcare services and coordinate patient care
• Assessing and treating patients with gastrointestinal diseases and conditions
• Work closely with a team of healthcare professionals
• Assess, diagnose, and treat residents' physical and mental well-being
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
• Prescribe medication and administer treatments
• Provide counseling to residents and their families
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for seamless coordination of care
• Manage chronic conditions and monitor progress
• Make appropriate adjustments to care plans
• Commitment to person-centered care
• Create a safe and nurturing environment for elderly residents in the nursing home

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
• DEA License
• CPR BCLS/BLS certified
• Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
• Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• A year of experience in Gastroenterology
• Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided
• Must have great organizational and time management skills.
• Prolonged standing and walking on facility floors. Carrying a medical bag, laptop, tablet or diagnostic equipment. Bending, stooping, or assisting with positioning during exams. Navigating multi-level buildings, potentially with stairs or uneven surfaces. Lifting/moving patients.
