Job summary

Infinite Medical P.C. is seeking a friendly Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team in Dallas, TX. This is a part-time role providing patient care for GI conditions in a skilled nursing setting.

The position requires a Master's in Nursing, an active NP/PA license, and experience in long-term care and gastroenterology. DEA and CPR certifications are also required, with EMR training provided. Competitive salary, Paid Time Off, and malpractice insurance are included.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing and graduate from an accredited NP program.
• Active and unrestricted NP/PA license with DEA certification.
• CPR/BCLS certification and experience in long-term care.
• Gastroenterology experience preferred (1 year).
• Strong organizational and time management skills with EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive healthcare services and coordinate patient care.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat GI diseases and conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; develop treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and administer treatments.
• Counsel residents and families; collaborate with the care team.

Job Summary

As a Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive healthcare services and coordinate patient care
• Assessing and treating patients with gastrointestinal diseases and conditions
• Work closely with a team of healthcare professionals
• Assess, diagnose, and treat residents' physical and mental well-being
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
• Prescribe medication and administer treatments
• Provide counseling to residents and their families
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for seamless coordination of care
• Manage chronic conditions and monitor progress
• Make appropriate adjustments to care plans

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
• DEA License
• CPR BCLS/BLS certified
• Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
• Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• A year of experience in Gastroenterology
• Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided
• Must have great organizational and time management skills.
• Prolonged standing and walking on facility floors. Carrying a medical bag, laptop, tablet or diagnostic equipment. Bending, stooping, or assisting with positioning during exams. Navigating multi-level buildings, potentially with stairs or uneven surfaces. Lifting/moving patients.
