Infinite Medical P.C. is seeking a Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide GI care in a long-term care setting in Carthage, TX. This part-time role requires licensure as an NP/PA, a DEA license, and recent GI experience, with EMR training provided for Sigma, Visual, and PCC.

The position offers a competitive annual salary and benefits, including paid time off and malpractice insurance, with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered elder care.

• Active unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license.
• DEA License.
• 6 months+ experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility.

• CPR BCLS/BLS certified.

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team. As a Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive healthcare services and coordinate patient care
• Assessing and treating patients with gastrointestinal diseases and conditions
• Work closely with a team of healthcare professionals
• Assess, diagnose, and treat residents' physical and mental well-being
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
• Prescribe medication and administer treatments
• Provide counseling to residents and their families
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for seamless coordination of care
• Manage chronic conditions and monitor progress
• Make appropriate adjustments to care plans
• Commitment to person-centered care
• Create a safe and nurturing environment for elderly residents in the nursing home

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
• DEA License
• CPR BCLS/BLS certified
• Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
• Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• A year of experience in Gastroenterology
• Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided
• Must have great organizational and time management skills.
• Prolonged standing and walking on facility floors. Carrying a medical bag, laptop, tablet or diagnostic equipment. Bending, stooping, or assisting with positioning during exams. Navigating multi-level buildings, potentially with stairs or uneven surfaces. Lifting/moving patients.
