Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (GI) to support gastroenterology specialty care. You will evaluate patients, develop and implement treatment plans, and coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate will have GI clinical expertise, strong judgment, and a commitment to evidence-based patient care in outpatient and inpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) or doctoral (DNP) in a ACEN/CCNE-accredited program.
• Minimum 3 years of post-licensure GI or related clinical experience (last 4 years).
• Active, unrestricted APRN license to practice in the U.S.
• Specialty certification by ANCC/AANP or equivalent in GI practices.
• NPI in CMMS systems.
• BLS certification by AHA or Red Cross.
• DEA registration number.
• Experience as FNP/ACPCNP/AGACNP with GI knowledge.
• U.S. Citizenship; meet all federal/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prescribes and treats GI diseases, disorders, and injuries.
• Perform routine physicals and manage acute and chronic GI illnesses.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams in patient care.
• Complete outpatient records, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging as needed for GI assessment.
• Refer to GI specialists when indicated and coordinate care plans.
