Gastroenterology & Hepatology Specialists, Inc. is seeking a Nurse Practitioner – Gastroenterology to join a collaborative team providing high-quality digestive health care in both clinic and inpatient settings.

The role involves triage, rounds, patient education, and coordination with physicians to support acute and long-term GI needs. You will work with supervising physicians, perform exams, order tests and medications, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives while enjoying a

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license and NP licensure as required by state.
• Graduation from an accredited NP program with national certification and prescriptive authority.
• ACLS certification current and active.
• At least three years of nursing experience in clinic or hospital settings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for hospital triage and inpatient consults and call coverage.
• Provide care during routine and urgent visits and new-patient visits.
• Perform rounds and procedures as allowed, including care for hepatitis C patients.
• Document findings and communicate results to supervising physicians.
• Collaborate with physicians to manage acute and long-term GI health needs.
• Order medications and tests; administer injections.
• Educate patients and families on medications and health promotion.
• Triage calls and support continuity of care between visits.
• Participate in clinical quality improvement activities.
