Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support gastroenterology services across four locations in the Pittsburgh area. The role features a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

with no holidays and limited travel between sites. You will assist the gastroenterology team and help provide a positive, efficient patient experience in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Applicants will be placed in the Ophthalmic Technician/Imaging Career Ladder based on experience and education.

Qualifications

• Dependable, organized, patient-focused individual.
• Comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
• Willingness to travel limited between locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Check schedules and organize patient flow; accompany patients to exam/procedure rooms.
• Collect patient information/history, take vitals, and assist with screenings per provider guidelines.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and level one labs; assist physicians with procedures.
