Job summary

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is seeking an open-rank Gastroenterologist with expertise in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) on a fixed-term faculty track. Duties include patient care, endoscopy, outpatient and inpatient services, and outreach clinics in Chapel Hill and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have an MD and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Experience in inflammatory bowel disease management and endoscopy is preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with interest in clinical education and/or research.

Responsibilities

• Caring for patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
• Perform endoscopic procedures and participate in outpatient clinic visits.
• Provide inpatient consults and participate in outreach clinics as needed.
• Engage in teaching and supervision of GI fellows, residents and medical students.
