Job description

Orlando Health Medical Group is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Gastroenterologist Hospitalist to join our Digestive Health Institute.

Location: Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital

As one of the nations most highly regarded digestive disease programs, the Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute offers comprehensive and coordinated care to evaluate, diagnose and treat a wide range of digestive diseases. Subspecialty services offered include advanced endoscopy, medical pancreatology, hepatology, neurogastroenterology and motility and inflammatory bowel diseases. The institutes team of globally respected physicians are leaders in clinical research and postgraduate medical education. The institute boasts a very vibrant clinical research program that conducts cutting-edge trials in endoscopic tumor resection, pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer, IBD and hemostasis. The institute has recently secured ACGME approval for starting a gastroenterology fellowship and hosts several international symposiums throughout the year. The position is most ideal for candidates wanting to practice clinical gastroenterology in a hybrid setting where you get to be in an academic atmosphere but with the efficiency and benefits of private practice.

Role Requirements:

  • Fellowship Trained in Gastroenterology.
  • FL Medical License or ability to obtain FL Medical License.

Practice Highlights:

Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital

Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital is a brand new, state of the art comprehensive acute care facility representing the next phase of growth for Orlando Health and its Lake Mary campus.

At 455,000 square feet, the hospitals five-and six-story towers has a 240-bed capacity. The facility includes six state-of-the-art operating rooms, three catheterization labs with a dedicated interventional radiology and vascular lab offering comprehensive cardiovascular care, a 16-bed intensive care unit, medical-surgical bed units, an observation unit and an on-site outpatient pharmacy. A key focus area for the new hospital is womens health, including labor and delivery services, and a future neonatal intensive care unit.
