Seeking a driven Neuro-Hospitalist to join our expanding neurosciences service line and collaborative team! Responsibilities:

1. Clinical management and comprehensive evaluation of inpatient neurological patients
2. Knowledge of the AHA Stroke Management Patient Care Guidelines and clinical management
3. Formulate and initiate individualized treatment plans based on therapeutic principles
4. Interpret common laboratory, electrographic, and radiologic findings and intervene appropriately
5. Evaluate and provide education for patients and families
6. Assess and facilitate patient discharge planning with specific follow-up recommendations
7. Communicate effectively with physicians, management, staff, patients, and families to ensure coordinated, timely, and high-quality patient care
8. Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate treatment plans, address patient concerns, and discharge planning
9. Clearly communicate treatment goals and activities to staff members involved in patient care
10. Participate in team conferences, providing clear and concise information regarding therapeutic concerns, and report issues to the program director promptly

Requirements:

1. Board Certification or Eligibility through the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology
2. Eligibility for an active Florida medical license
3. Ability to work closely with hospitalists and ED team
4. Availability to work 7 on/7 off with at least 182 shifts annually
5. Strong communication skills
