Job summary

UTMB Faculty Group Practice in Galveston, Texas is seeking a Gastroenterologist. The role involves up to 3 clinic sessions and up to 6 outpatient endoscopy sessions each week, along with consult service coverage at Galveston and League City campuses. Applicants must possess an MD degree, be Board Certified or Eligible in Gastroenterology, and have completed the necessary residency and fellowship training. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Must have an MD degree or equivalent with Board Certification or Eligibility in Gastroenterology.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency is required.
• Completion of Gastroenterology fellowship programs is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct up to 3 weekly clinic sessions.
• Perform up to 6 outpatient endoscopy sessions weekly.
• Cover the Gastroenterology & Hepatology consult service for 10 weeks yearly.
• Provide night call coverage for about 8 weeks per year.

Education

MD degree or equivalent

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology

Completion of ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency

Completion of Gastroenterology fellowship programs
