Job summary

UTMB Faculty Group Practice in Galveston is seeking an experienced Gastroenterologist to join our team. This role includes performing advanced endoscopy and a robust outpatient endoscopy schedule, with dedicated weekly sessions and campus coverage across Galveston and nearby clinics.

The position also requires covering the Gastroenterology & Hepatology consult service at Galveston and Clear Lake/League City campuses for ~10 weeks per year and providing night call for ~8 weeks annually.

Qualifications

• MD degree or equivalent required.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Gastroenterology.
• Completed ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency.
• Completed Gastroenterology fellowship.
• Advanced Endoscopy Training preferred.

Responsibilities

• 2 weekly endoscopy sessions dedicated to advanced endoscopic procedures.
• 7 outpatient endoscopy sessions per week.
• Cover GI & Hepatology consult service at Galveston & Clear Lake/League City campuses for ~10 weeks/year.
• Provide night call coverage for ~8 weeks annually.
