MaineHealth Gastroenterology is seeking an experienced Gastroenterologist to join as Associate Medical Director across the Waldo and Pen Bay hospitals. The role blends clinical time (outpatient clinic, endoscopy, inpatient consults) with administrative leadership to enhance care quality and operations.

Competenze

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Active and unrestricted State of ME medical license, or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Board Certification/Eligibility
• Active and unrestricted DEA license, or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Experience performing general endoscopic procedures; EUS/ERCP skills are a plus but not required
• Minimum 3–5 years of clinical practice preferred

Mansioni

• Oversee clinical operations of the Gastroenterology practice and outreach locations.
• Direct supervision and management of physicians and APPs; focus on patient experience, professionalism, coding/billing, mentoring, peer review, and performance reviews.
• Promote quality projects and implement safety programs to mitigate risk.
• Develop recruitment plans and grow clinical services at all sites.
• Promote education of care teams, learners, and new physicians/APPs.
• Develop Associate Medical Directors for leadership growth.
• Coordinate site teaching and professional development with MHMG.
