Job summary

St. Anthony North Hospital in Westminster seeks a Gastroenterology APP (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to deliver specialized GI care in a collaborative clinic setting.

You will work with physician partners to ensure safe diagnostics and optimal care plans, functioning as an expert practitioner, educator, consultant, and researcher. Requirements include NP or PA credentials with 2+ years in GI; master’s degree; state license; BLS/ACLS; prescriptive authority.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing as Nurse Practitioner
• RN Licensure and listed on state APN Registry
• Board certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse or PA license
• BLS from the American Heart Association
• ACLS from the American Heart Association
• Prescriptive Authority (RXN) or provisional Rx authority (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical examinations for outpatients/inpatients
• Writes orders and prescriptions
• Identifies problem list based on approved protocols and current standards
• Interprets and evaluates test results
• Assesses patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs
• Manages discharge planning, disposition, and follow-up education
