Responsibilities

• Assess health status and perform history and physical examinations for acute and complex chronically ill patients.
• Order, collect, and interpret diagnostic data and coordinate plans of care.
• Document progress notes, discharge summaries, and plans of care in medical records.
• Prescribe diagnostic strategies and therapeutic interventions, including pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments.
