Job summary

Tal Healthcare seeks a Gastroenterologist for a full-time outpatient GI position in the Hudson Valley region. You will deliver comprehensive gastrointestinal care within a collaborative, tech-enabled environment, supporting community health.

Responsibilities include performing EGD/colonoscopy, managing IBS/IBD/GERD and liver disease, and guiding cancer screening programs. Strong EMR experience and NY license are required; salary is commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an Internal Medicine residency.
Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology fellowship.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
Active and unrestricted New York State medical license or eligibility.
Current DEA registration.
Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Experience with electronic medical records systems.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat GI, hepatic, pancreatic, and biliary disorders.
Perform endoscopic procedures: EGD, colonoscopy, polypectomy, biopsy, hemostasis.
Manage chronic GI conditions (IBS, IBD, GERD, liver disease) and cancer screening.
Interpret labs, imaging, and pathology results.
Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans per guidelines.
Educate patients and families on diagnoses and options.
Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR.
Participate in quality improvement activities and meetings.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for seamless care.
Ensure compliance with laws, regs, and policies.
Supervise Advanced Practice Providers.
