Job summary

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is expanding its Gastroenterology services at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. The role involves diagnosing and managing a broad range of GI conditions, performing colonoscopy and upper endoscopy, and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team.

The position offers a competitive base salary of $400,000 per year, potential for additional compensation through call sessions, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Completion of Fellowship Training Program in Gastroenterology.
• Expertise in performing endoscopic and colonoscopy procedures.
• Proficiency in X-rays, MRIs, and ultrasound scanning.
• Current licensed NY State registration (or the ability to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of GI conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and prescribing treatments.
• Perform GI procedures, including colonoscopy and upper endoscopy, and other advanced endoscopic interventions.
• Provide patient counseling on disease management, nutrition, and follow-up care; coordinate referrals to specialists or dietitians.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Supervise and teach fellows, residents, and support staff.
• Participate in research and quality-improvement activities.
