Qualifications

  • M.D./D.O. degree from a recognized Medical or Osteopathic School.
  • Fellowship training in Gastroenterology from an accredited program.
  • Additional training and clinical experience in Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
  • Board Certification in Gastroenterology.
  • Ability to obtain a New Jersey Medical License.

Responsibilities

  • Join a multidisciplinary team focused on care of patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease in a Center of Excellence.
  • Collaborate with nutritionists, social workers and colorectal surgery.
  • Work with fellows, residents and other trainees in an academic gastroenterology practice.

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Gastroenterologist specializing in Inflammatory Bowel Disease to join our multidisciplinary care team at the Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease located at the Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity to become a member of a high-performing and expanding regional program. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical and communication skills with a commitment to outstanding patient care.

Requirements Include:

  • Geographic Location: Cost of living and market rates for the specific location.
  • Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the specialty and/or sub‑specialty.
  • Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.
