St. Luke's University Health Network in Kentucky is seeking a licensed physician for comprehensive medical services in both practice and hospital settings.

The role includes performing histories, physical exams, and delivering high-quality care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The physician will participate in quality improvement, education of patients and families, and coordinate care with other providers as well as public health agencies to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualificações

• Graduate of an accredited medical school
• Completion of residency and/or fellowship in area of specialty
• MD or DO licensed by the state medical board

Responsabilidades

• Performs history and physical examination of all patients seen
• Provide cost-effective, high-quality care based on best practice evidenced based medicine
• Adhere to standardized orders and practice guidelines approved by the medical staff
• Demonstrates competency in assessment, treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient
• Provide regular, timely, and appropriate communication with referring physicians, patients and their families
• Participates in education of patients and their families
• Evaluates and implements patient health care needs; initiates treatment via prescriptions, diagnostic tests, exams and procedures; reviews lab results and plans actions
• Coordinates patient care and makes referrals to physicians, nurses, psychologists, nutritionists, et cetera, as needed; collaborates with other professionals
• Coordinates patient care and family counseling with public and mental health agencies as appropriate
• Teaches wellness habits and educates patients on prevention of potential health problems or method of dealing with present problems
• Maintains knowledge of current medical practices and skills
• Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information
• Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements
