Qualifications

• Board certification in Gastroenterology (or board-eligible with clear path to certification).
• Licensed to practice in New York State.
• Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented with patient-centered care.
• Experience growing a local clinical practice is a plus.
• Familiarity with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key clinical provider in delivering high-quality gastroenterology care.
• Conduct thorough history taking, physical exams, and interpretation of labs, imaging, and pathology reports.
• Outpatient-focused role within a multi-specialty group, managing a high-volume GI practice.
• Diagnose and manage GI diseases including IBD, IBS, liver disease, and biliary tract disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including pharmacological and lifestyle interventions.
• Perform and interpret colonoscopies and EGDs for screening and management.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation to support clinical workflow and patient safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, oncologists, and PCPs.
• Promote colorectal cancer screening and chronic liver disease management.
• Engage in ongoing medical education and clinical practice improvement.
