Job summary

Veterans Health Administration in Fargo, ND seeks a gastroenterologist to provide comprehensive GI care in inpatient and outpatient settings. The role includes performing colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy and esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), with ERCP desirable.

You will document in the EMR, participate in safety and quality initiatives, and support related administrative duties. The position supports Education Debt Reduction Program eligibility and a potential sign-on incentive for highly qualified

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an approved school.
• Current full medical license in the United States.
• Board eligibility or board certification in Gastroenterology.
• Ability to practice in the VA Fargo Health Care System.

Responsibilities

• See patients in GI consult clinic in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Perform endoscopic procedures: colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, EGD; ERCP desirable.
• Enter accurate progress notes in the EMR and maintain safety standards.
• Participate in performance improvement, disaster preparedness and administrative duties.
