Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• ACGME Residency in Internal Medicine; GI subspecialty board certification or eligibility.
• Active Utah medical license or ability to obtain one.
• BLS and active DEA required; ERCP is a plus but not required.
• Successful credentialing through Intermountain Health; visa sponsorship reviewed case-by-case.

Responsibilities

• Provide broad general GI clinic and endoscopy services, optional ERCP.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and nurses across clinics and endoscopy sites.
• Share call and contribute to a high-quality patient experience; opportunities for 4-day week.
• Participate in credentialing process and participate in community service needs.

About this role: Join Intermountain Health as a Gastroenterology Physician and become part of a collaborative, team-based practice committed to delivering high-quality care and an exceptional patient experience. This employed Medical Group opportunity offers a broad general GI practice with the option to perform ERCP, if desired, along with the support of physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing partners across our clinic and endoscopy locations throughout the Canyons market. With strong community demand for expanded gastroenterology and endoscopy services in the Wasatch Back, this role offers an exciting opportunity to grow a meaningful, high-impact practice in one of Utah’s most desirable communities. The Park City campus is also expanding endoscopy capacity to four suites, with projected completion in early 2027, and Intermountain Health will open a new Cancer Center in Park City in September 2026, bringing world-class cancer care closer to patients in the region.

This opportunity offers a competitive starting base salary of $620,000 annually, with production incentives, up to a $50,000 sign-on bonus, up to $20,000 in relocation assistance based on distance, student loan repayment support, and a $1,500 monthly training stipend when applicable.

You will practice at the Jerry & Kathleen Grundhofer Clinic in Park City, UT and the Heber Valley Specialty Clinic in Heber, UT, with privileges at Park City Hospital and Heber Valley Hospital. Additional opportunities to provide service at other Intermountain Health locations may be available based on interest and community need. You will enjoy a balanced practice mix of clinic and endoscopy, with the opportunity for a 4-day work week. Call is shared across the group, with an anticipated 7-10 light call days per month and additional call compensation after the 6th call shift in a month.

What you’ll bring:

• MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
• ACGME Residency training in Internal Medicine Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine with a subspecialty in Gastroenterology
• Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
• BLS and active DEA, required ERCP is a plus but not required for this role
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
• Candidates requiring Visa sponsorship will be reviewed on an individual basis

Park City, elevation 7,000 feet, is in the mountains east of Salt Lake City in Summit County, population 8,754. It is a short 40-minute drive to Salt Lake City.
