Join Intermountain Health as a Gastroenterology Physician and become part of a collaborative, team-based practice committed to delivering high-quality care and an exceptional patient experience. This employed Medical Group opportunity offers a broad general GI practice with the option to perform ERCP, if desired, along with the support of physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing partners across our clinic and endoscopy locations throughout the Canyons market. With strong community demand for expanded gastroenterology and endoscopy services in the Wasatch Back, this role offers an exciting opportunity to grow a meaningful, high-impact practice in one of Utah’s most desirable communities. The Park City campus is also expanding endoscopy capacity to four suites, with projected completion in early 2027, and Intermountain Health will open a new Cancer Center in Park City in September 2026, bringing world-class cancer care closer to patients in the region.
This opportunity offers a competitive starting base salary of $620,000 annually, with production incentives, up to a $50,000 sign-on bonus, up to $20,000 in relocation assistance based on distance, student loan repayment support, and a $1,500 monthly training stipend when applicable.
You will practice at the Jerry & Kathleen Grundhofer Clinic (https://intermountainhealthcare.org/locations/jerry-kathleen-grundhofer-clinic/gastroenterology) in Park City, UT and the Heber Valley Specialty Clinic (https://intermountainhealthcare.org/locations/heber-valley-specialty-clinic) in Heber, UT, with privileges at Park City Hospital (https://intermountainhealthcare.org/locations/park-city-hospital) and Heber Valley Hospital (https://intermountainhealthcare.org/locations/heber-valley-hospital) . Additional opportunities to provide service at other Intermountain Health locations may be available based on interest and community need.
You will enjoy a balanced practice mix of clinic and endoscopy, with the opportunity for a 4-day work week.
Call is shared across the group, with an anticipated 7–10 light call days per month and additional call compensation after the 6th call shift in a month.

MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
ACGME Residency training in Internal Medicine
Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine with a subspecialty in Gastroenterology
Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
BLS and active DEA, required
ERCP is a plus but not required for this role
Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
