- Examine, diagnose, and treat Ryan-NENA patients referred by primary care providers or walk-ins, ensuring quality of care and productivity standards.
- Refer patients to primary care or specialty providers; coordinate with backup facilities for consultations, tests, and procedures not available at the Center.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including progress notes, prescriptions, encounter and referral forms, complying with reimbursement and regulatory requirements.
- Provide consultations to other Center practitioners.
- Supervise the patient care activities of paramedical personnel in the area.
- Participate in in-service education for healthcare practitioners as requested.
- Immediately report any problems or unusual occurrences to the supervisor.
- Practice accepted infection control measures according to OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens standards and Center policies.
- Maintain a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude with patients and staff.
- Provide age-appropriate care, demonstrating necessary knowledge and skills.
- Requirements: Graduation from an approved Medical School, completion of Gastroenterologic Residency, Board Certified/Eligible in Gastroenterology, and a valid medical license in New York State.
