Job summary

Sun Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a Gastroenterologist for a full-time position in Hobart, IN. The role offers a flexible schedule Monday–Friday with a 1:7 call rotation and relocation assistance.

The practitioner will diagnose and treat a wide range of GI and hepatobiliary disorders within a tech-forward, patient-centered environment. Responsibilities include performing endoscopic procedures, managing high-volume outpatient and hospital care, and coordinating long-term care for chronic GI

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible with plan for certification within a specified timeframe.
• Possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Indiana Medical License and CSR/DEA registration.
• Experience with or aptitude for utilizing EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic and treatment services for GI and hepatobiliary disorders.
• Clinic patients per day: 20-30.
• Hospital patients per day: 10-15.
• 1:7 call rotation.
• Perform routine and advanced endoscopic procedures.
• Coordinate longitudinal care for chronic conditions like IBD and liver disease.
• Collaborate with surgical and primary care teams for integrated treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary (liver) disorders
• Clinic patients per day: 20-30
• Hospital patients per day: 10-15
• Call Rotation: 1:7
• Perform routine and advanced endoscopic procedures in an outpatient or hospital setting to diagnose and treat digestive diseases
• Manage a high-volume clinical practice, coordinating longitudinal care for chronic conditions like IBD and liver disease
• Work alongside surgical and primary care teams to ensure integrated treatment plans and timely screenings

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible with a clear plan for certification within a specified timeframe.
• Possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Indiana Medical License and CSR/DEA registration
• Experience with or aptitude for utilizing EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
