Top Echelon Software LLC is assisting a Northwest Indiana healthcare provider in Hobart, IN to recruit a Gastroenterologist for a full-time position with a Monday–Friday schedule and 1:7 call rotation. The role emphasizes work-life balance, advanced GI care, and a mix of outpatient and hospital medicine.

Board-certified or board-eligible candidates with Indiana license and CSR/DEA are encouraged to apply. Relocation assistance is available and EMR experience (EPIC) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible with a plan for certification within a defined timeframe.
• Possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Indiana Medical License and CSR/DEA registration.
• Experience with EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic and treatment services for GI and hepatobiliary disorders.
• Clinic patients per day: 20-30; Hospital patients per day: 10-15.
• 1:7 call rotation; perform endoscopic procedures in outpatient or hospital settings.
• Coordinate longitudinal care for chronic GI conditions and liver disease.
• Collaborate with surgical and primary care teams for integrated treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary (liver) disorders
• Clinic patients per day: 20-30
• Hospital patients per day: 10-15
• Call Rotation: 1:7
• Perform routine and advanced endoscopic procedures in an outpatient or hospital setting to diagnose and treat digestive diseases
• Manage a high-volume clinical practice, coordinating longitudinal care for chronic conditions like IBD and liver disease
• Work alongside surgical and primary care teams to ensure integrated treatment plans and timely screenings

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible with a clear plan for certification within a specified timeframe.
• Possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Indiana Medical License and CSR/DEA registration
• Experience with or aptitude for utilizing EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
