Job summary

MCR Health is seeking a qualified gastroenterologist to join our Bradenton, FL team. You will diagnose and treat patients with gastrointestinal disorders, and perform endoscopic procedures to support accurate diagnoses and effective care.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary staff to provide Exceptional Care to Everyone, Every Time. This role emphasizes patient-centered GI care, endoscopy proficiency, and ongoing clinical excellence within a busy community practice.

Qualifications

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic GI disorders.
• Perform endoscopic procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, capsule endoscopy, EUS, and ERCP when needed.

Responsibilities

• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory tests and imaging studies.
• Provide comprehensive GI care in Bradenton, FL.

JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal disorders.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory tests, imaging studies, and diagnostic procedures.
• Perform endoscopic procedures including:
  • Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)
  • Colonoscopy
  • Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
  • Capsule Endoscopy
  • Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) (preferred if applicable)
  • Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) (required/preferred based on organizational needs)

• Diagnose and manage conditions including but not limited to:

• Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
• Peptic Ulcer Disease
• Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis)
• Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
• Liver diseases
• Hepatitis
• Pancreatic disorders
• Gallbladder disease
• Gastrointestinal bleeding
• Colon polyps
• Gastrointestinal cancer
