Job summary

RECONN is hiring a Utility Inspection Technician to inspect gas meters for leaks and corrosion, complete required paperwork, and report in on time to the assigned work area. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and outdoor field work in various weather conditions.

Starting pay is $20.00 per hour with daytime, full-time hours. Overtime and weekend work may be required; instructor-led training is provided to get you up to speed.

Qualifications

• Proficient with current technology (smartphone/tablet).
• Effective communication, both one-on-one and in groups.
• Able to work long hours and weekends.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Able to read utility maps.
• Willing to pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Inspect gas meters for leaks and corrosion.
• Complete all required paperwork/data.
• Report to assigned work area on time.
• Identify abnormal operating conditions on site.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
