Job summary

RECONN is hiring a Utility Inspection Technician to check gas meters for leaks and corrosion, perform visual inspections, and ensure all required paperwork is completed. You will report to your work area on time, identify abnormal conditions, and work in a fast-paced environment in the Fort Wayne area.

These are daytime, full-time positions with potential overtime and weekend work. Training is provided, and starting pay is $20 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for

Qualifications

• Proficient with current technology; smartphone and tablet usage.
• Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one settings and in groups.
• Must be able to work long hours and weekends.
• Must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect gas meters for leaks and corrosion; perform visual inspections.
• Complete required paperwork/data accurately; forms may be electronic or paper.
• Report abnormal operating conditions and identify issues on-site.
